Keycard's mission was to establish a compelling brand and build a marketing site that could effectively communicate the value of their product to developers. Their goal was to make a strong first impression to attract potential investors and new hires at their event, and later build out their site.
They needed a partner who could understand their technical needs, deliver a brand that was both trustworthy and visually appealing, and work collaboratively to meet tight deadlines.
What began as a request for a marketing site evolved into a long-term, collaborative partnership. We started by working with Keycard's in-house designer to understand their aesthetic and technical needs. Our team then developed two initial creative directions, after which Keycard chose a path that prioritized a technical, fluid, and secure aesthetic.
This process led to a robust visual system with multiple layers of meaning. The new logo, for example, subtly integrates concepts of access, fluidity, and a technical chip. We created custom 2D illustrations with a 3D isometric appearance to clearly transmit the product’s functionalities, and a detailed brandbook with guidelines for using the new assets. The entire brand was designed to be sophisticated but approachable, reflecting the company’s identity.
With a crucial event approaching, our team prioritized speed and efficiency, acting as a true Go-to-Market partner. We rapidly developed a high-impact landing page, ensuring Keycard had a polished digital presence ready for the event. This quick turnaround allowed them to maximize visibility, secure funding, and attract top developer talent. After the event, we turned to building out the other pages of the site, as well as working on a sales deck for potential enterprise clients, social media assets, and merchandise.
The collaboration was marked by excellent chemistry and a transparent process on both sides. We worked with Keycard’s CEO and in-house design and technical teams, providing a constant feedback loop that enriched the final product, which launched just weeks after the event.
